- Producing the Report: Weave raw participant quotes with interpretive prose and existing literature, using evidence to build a broader theoretical argument.
Methodological Rigor in the Thesis
Ensure your findings chapter avoids the “quote-dump” trap. Accompany every participant excerpt with thorough interpretive commentary analyzing why the speaker chose specific rhetorical framings. Finally, dedicate a substantial section of your methodology to researcher positionality, articulating how your social location, disciplinary background, and institutional power dynamics shaped the generation of meaning throughout the research encounter.
